Basic Banana health-conscious ice creams

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 1/4 cup cashew milk (or any dairy-free milk of your choice)

  • Dash of cinnamon for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the frozen banana slices and dairy free milk

  2. Blend the mixture on high speed until smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender a few times to ensure even blending.

  3. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness as desired by adding 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness).

  4. Once you achieve a creamy consistency, transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container.

  5. Cover the container and freeze the mixture for at least 2-3 hours or until it firms up to an ice cream-like texture.

  6. Before serving, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly for easier scooping.

  7. Garnish with a dash of cinnamon or your choice of other fun toppings like raw peanuts or melted peanut butter, and enjoy !

Storage:

Nice cream tastes best within a few days, but can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months. For the best nice cream consistency, take the container out of the freezer and let sit out at room temperature for 10 mins. If it's in a microwaveable container, you can also microwave it for 15 seconds until softened. Looking for more sweet treats try these and other recipes..
