A Decadent Pumpkin Pie Recipe to Warm Your Soul

Pumpkin Pie

This is the traditional holiday pumpkin pie. This classic recipe since 1950. This pie is easy to prepare and even easier to enjoy. Just mix, pour, bake for a delicious homemade tradition.


Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 can (15oz) pumpkin pure

  • 1 can (12oz) Evaporated milk

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shell


Instructions:

  1. Preheated over to 425° F

  2. Mix sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves in small bowl.

  3. Beat eggs in large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture.

  4. Gradually stir in evaporated milk.

  5. Pour into pie shell.

  6. Bake in oven for 15 minutes.

  7. Reduce temperature to 350° F; bake for 40 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

  8. Cool on wire rack for 2 hours.

  9. Serve immediately or refrigerate.

  10. Garnish with whip cream, and enjoy !


Storage:

Keep in the fridge. Either keep in the baking dish, place a folded paper towel gentle on top of pie and cover with tin foil or place in an air tight container also using paper towel method to help with extra moisture.
